Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club
The Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club was established in 1975. Located in Doha, Qatar, it has the mission of developing thoroughbred and Arabian horse racing events, organising Arabian horse shows and providing support to owners and breeders. The Qatar International Stakes (Gr1PA), held as part of the Qatar Goodwood Festival, is the most valuable Arabian race in Europe over a mile, with a prize fund of £400,000. UAE President Cup
The UAE President Cup is Arabian racing’s oldest classic series, hosting races in 14 countries worldwide in 2021. Held under the patronage of the President, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the support of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The UAE President Cup resumed its association with the UK Arabian Derby in 2016, this year the mile and a quarter, £80,000 race will be run at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday 18th August.
