Dubai International Arabian Races
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, DIAR aims to promote and develop the sport of Arabian horse racing globally through a comprehensive programme of Arabian race sponsorship with a European focus. The race sponsorship provided for the Dubai International Arabian Races is an important series both in the UK and worldwide. The UK stage a series of preparatory races and the prestigious Dubai International Arabian Race day at Newbury, which is the ‘flagship’ of Arabian Racing in the UK and recognised worldwide.
HH Sheikh Mansoor Festival
The Festival has grown since its initial launch in 2009 with its intention to introduce the public to pure-bred Arabian horses. The festival includes a series of races: HH Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup, H.H. Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Ladies World Championship. Wathba Stud Farm Cup Series also supports Arabian Racing from the grass roots level. The race sponsorship from the HH Sheikh Mansoor Festival is key in supporting the grass roots level and upwards, both internationally and in the UK.
The Royal Cavalry of Oman
The Royal Cavalry have been involved with Arabian racing in the UK for over ten years, and is essential for supporting a variety of levels from low grade handicaps, to group races, as well as hosting The Royal Cavalry of Oman Raceday. Permanently based on the outskirts of Oman’s capital, Muscat, The Royal Cavalry of Oman are dedicated to the promotion and development of both equine breeding and racing as well as training young up and coming jockeys. The red, green and gold silks of the Royal Cavalry of Oman are a familiar sight in Arabian Races and their presence as a sponsor and owner has grown considerably over the years.
Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club
The Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club was established in 1975. Located in New Rayyan, Doha, it has the mission of developing Thoroughbred and Purebred Arabian horse racing events, organising Arabian horse shows and providing support to owners and breeders. Due to its state-of-the-art facilities Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club is one of the most enviable horse training centres in the world. The Doha Triple Crown is a significant race series for Purebred Arabians, featuring a bonus of $1 million for the winner of all three of the world’s most prestigious Arabian races. The UK stages the Qatar International Stakes at the Qatar Goodwood Festival, the other legs of the Doha Triple Crown include Qatar Arabian World Cup, L’arc meeting, France and the Emir’s Sword, Doha.
The Heritage Arabian Racing Club
The Heritage Arabian Racing Club was founded in February 2015 after His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan invited a group of like-minded people from a variety of countries to discuss the value of racing as a way to preserve the classic purebred Arabian horse and ensure a diversity of bloodlines for the long term future of the breed. HARC represents a significant opportunity not only to help grow Arabian racing as a whole by attracting new enthusiasts and breeders passionate about the Arabian horse. This new initiative has been a success in the UK following the initial trial of the bonus scheme for HARC bred horses, the forthcoming season will see an increase in races for HARC only horses.
Forta Stud is a small-scale program that breeds Purebred Arabian horses for Racing. Based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Forta Stud treasures the Arabian horse for its strength, soundness, stamina, grace, and personality. With their broodmares having diverse origins including: Crabbet, Egyptian, French, Polish, and Russian bloodlines, Forta Stud strive for continuous improvement, with horse welfare at the forefront. Forta Stud supports Arabian racing in the UK with sponsorship of races held at the unique standalone full Arabian Racing Fixtures.
The Arabian Racehorse Magazine
The Arabian Racehorse Magazine is the only free, regular digital publication with worldwide distribution providing dedicated coverage of all the Arabian Racing Organisation meetings and single races in the UK, plus coverage of pattern races overseas. Writer and producer of The Arabian Racehorse Magazine, Debbie Burt, aims to support a variety of different graded races with sponsorship at the unique standalone full Arabian Racing Fixtures, to give all ARO participants a chance to win one of her original bronze sculptures.
