The Arabian Racing Organisation is proud to announce Beverley Deutrom as the winner of the HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak International Ladies Award for Best Trainer at the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Darley Awards. Beverley collected her prize at the Dolby theatre in Hollywood last night (6th April 2018). The awards are part of a glittering weekend celebration that puts the Arabian racehorse on the world stage and recognises the achievements of women in Arabian horseracing worldwide.
Beverley has been campaigning her horses across the globe and winning – she is a great ambassador for Arabian Racing in the UK; one of four ARO nominees that had been shortlisted for these prestigious awards that also included, Owner, Heather Philpott for her mare Unity Belle, amateur jockey, Ellie Mackenzie and photographer, Megan Rose. The magnificent Awards Ceremony sponsored by the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Flat Horse Racing Festival is part of a Gala weekend was live from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California and organised under the direction of Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of the Festival.
Guests honoured the ladies who had been shortlisted to represent the categories based on their performances during the 2017 season; Best Breeder, Best Owner, Best Trainer, Best Professional Jockey, Best Amateur Jockey, Best Apprentice Jockey, Lifetime Achievement, Best Racing Journalist, Best Racing Presenter, Best Photographer, Best Endurance rider, Best Filly 3 years old, Best Filly 4 years old, Best Older Mare, and also a ‘Distinguished Award’.
It is a full weekend for guests who are also invited to attend the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Darley Awards Stake Grade 1 at Santa Anita Park, in the Year of Zayed, the biggest Racing Day of Santa Anita Park Derby Day and a 10th Year Anniversary HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Darley Awards Gala Dinner at the Beverly Hills Wilshire Rodeo Drive.
