TWENTY TWO ENTRIES FOR THE ROYAL CAVALRY OF OMAN CLARENDON STAKES

The Arabian Racing Organisation (ARO) was delighted with the twenty two entries received this morning for The Royal Cavalry of Oman Clarendon Stakes (Gr3 PA) to be run at Newbury racecourse on Saturday 19 August as part of Betfred Ladies Day with music after racing from Olly Murs. The entries are headed by Group 1 winner and last years’ second Radames, also among the top rated are Awzaan, and Swedish raider Macallan, both horses have been Group 1 placed.

ARO Racing Operations Executive Gemma Cobb commented: “We’re thrilled with the high number of entries, Radames has been targeted at this event and is an established sprinter, whilst there are a number of up and coming young horses with good place form in the list, including last years’ third Lou Raynal, and recent course winner Cheikh Roque.

“This is our shortest race of the season and the last of our single races to be supported by our long-term sponsors, The Royal Cavalry of Oman, which leads up to their annual Sultanate of Oman Raceday, held on 28th August at Royal Windsor racecourse. Declarations are due by 11am on Thursday 17th August.”
