HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival

HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival was launched in 2009 supporting Arabian racing worldwide through a number of initiatives. The most valuable race of the Festivals’ sponsorship is the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Jewel Crown (Gr1PA), held in Abu Dhabi in December, which is by invitation only. In the UK the Festival hosts a series of races, under the banner of the Wathba Stallions Cup, encompassing all abilities from maidens to handicaps. The highlight of their UK sponsorship is the £20,000 HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Cup (Gr3PA) run over a mile at Haydock Park, which this year will be on Saturday 9th September.

As part of the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Racing Festival the Wathba Stallions Cup Series supports the grassroots of Arabian Racing.

 


Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club

The Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club was established in 1975. Located in Doha, Qatar, it has the mission of developing thoroughbred and Arabian horse racing events, organising Arabian horse shows and providing support to owners and breeders. The Qatar International Stakes (Gr1PA), held as part of the Qatar Goodwood Festival, is the most valuable Arabian race in Europe over a mile, with a prize fund of £400,000. This year the race will take place on Wednesday 2nd July.

 


UAE President Cup

The UAE President Cup is Arabian racing’s oldest classic series, hosting races in 14 countries worldwide in 2021. Held under the patronage of the President, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the support of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. The UAE President Cup resumed its association with the UK Arabian Derby in 2016, this year the mile and a quarter, £80,000 race will be run at Doncaster Racecourse on Saturday 18th August.

 


Emirates Breeders

 

Held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Presidential Affairs, the series promotes the racing and breeding of Arabians around the world. In the UK they are supporting the sports grassroots with a range of maiden and handicap races.


The International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing’s (IFAHR)

The International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing’s (IFAHR) main objectives include coordinating and harmonizing the rules of breeding, racing, and wagering; to ensure quality and fairness of racing; to provide for on-track organization of the protection of the welfare of horses and jockeys.It is the mission of the IFAHR to promote good regulations and best practices on international horse racing matters for Arabians.

This year IFHAR is the new sponsor of the IFAHR Trophy (formerly the Za’abeel International Stakes) a Group 2PA to be run over 6 furlongs at Chester on July 1st for a prize fund of £20,000.

 


The Arabian Racehorse Magazine

 

 

First published in 2015, The Arabian Racehorse magazine is the only free, regular digital publication supporting UK Arabian racing and includes coverage of pattern races overseas. With a worldwide distribution, it is published by Equine Creative Media who have supported ARO since 2012 through race sponsorship, with original bronze trophies and photographs to winning connections and Best Turned Out Awards to the grooms.

 


 

Equine MediRecord

 

Equine MediRecord aim to improve equine welfare by simplifying compliance to animal welfare and anti-doping regulations with the only Regulator-Approved Digital Medicines Register. Their platform allows for the full veterinary history of a horse to be recorded securely, guaranteeing compliance before they race and ensuring the best possible equine welfare.

Equine MediRecord have supported ARO since 2021 with the sponsorship of races and of the Arabian Racing Achievement Award, given annually at the Horserace Writers & Photographers Annual Derby Awards.
