ARO HOME


Taunton Racecourse is the youngest National Hunt racecourse in Britain and one of the most beautifully located courses in the country, with outstanding views across the racecourse to the wooded slopes of the Blackdown Hills, and yet only a few minutes drive from the centre of Taunton. 
 

Course Characteristics:

A right handed oval course, one mile three furlongs in extent, with nine fences per circuit and in a run-in of 200 yards.
  The course has long sweeping bends that suit the galloping types, much of the home straight being downhill

ARO's 2011 season kicks off at Taunton on:

Saturday 14th May

                Gates open       12 noon
                First race          2 pm, with half hour intervals between races
                Bars                 These will close half an hour after the last race

NO DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE RACECOURSE PREMISES

Adults cost £8 (£6 if booked in advance)
  Children under 18 FREE
